Poor indoor air quality in schools is a major public health concern. QVHD conducts yearly inspections of schools, focusing on indoor air quality. District schools, if they haven’t already, are encouraged to implement the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tools for Schools Program

QVHD conducts bi-annually inspections of daycares to ensure that required standards established by state statutes and regulations are met. The Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) licenses Day Care Centers and Day Care Homes.
