Hamden Overnight Warming Centers

Temperatures have dropped significantly over the last week and harsh weather conditions are predicted to continue into the weeks to come. The town of Hamden, in partnership with Columbus House, have opened overnight warming centers that are open to anyone seeking a warm, clean, safe, environment to wait out the cold nights. The warming centers will be open through the end of February from 10PM to 7AM, 7 days a week.

While these centers will not function as shelters with beds, snacks and warm beverages will be provided. See the flyer below for locations and what you will find on site. Anyone wishing to make donations of non-perishable, pre-wrapped items or new socks, new underwear, hats, scarves or gloves can do so at the Keefe Community Center, located at 11 Pine Street, Hamden CT.
